Oasis 21 Toyota Gosei Rink – outdoor and night skating, well, kind of

This seasonal ice skating rink’s ice is a composite material made by the Toyoda Gosei Corporation, and it has been popular for the last ten years mainly due to its location on the B1 level of Oasis 21 in Sakae. It is the only outdoor ice skating facility in the Nagoya area. The rink generally appeals to young families because of its size and convenient location. The rink is open for 100 days, Dec. 4 to Mar. 13, and is open weekdays 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends and holidays 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The weekend hours apply also to the school vacation dates from Dec. 25 to Jan. 3. Elementary school age kids can skate for 500 yen and junior high school and over for 1,000 yen. Entry fees jump to 1,300 yen for junior high school aged and over during the school winter vacation term. Fees include skate rental.
