Nihon Gaishi Arena – best value

Nagoya City run Nihon Gaishi Arena boasts a world class rink of 60 meters by 30 meters and rink side seating of 3,500 seats. The Arena has a large parking and is convenient for those who drive. Those who travel by train should use JR Tokaido Line and get off at Kasadera Station and walk 5 minutes west, or Meitetsu Oe Station with a 15-minute walk east. Nihon Gaishi Arena is the cheapest place for very young kids as below elementary school age can skate for free. For children from 6 up to 15 years old the entry fee is 700 yen and 1,400 yen for those 16 to 65. Seniors can skate for 400 yen. Skates are available for 400 yen. Skating times are daily in three sessions, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
