Nagoya City announced Wednesday that is requiring public baths such as sento, neighborhood public baths, and supersento spas to double the amount of disinfectant used in bath water. This is in reaction to a woman in her 50s contracting Legionnaires’ disease in September last year after visiting Ryusenji-no-yu Supersento in Moriyama Ward. The amount of disinfectant will increase to 0.4 milligrams per liter from July 1, this year.
