Sapporo’s original airport Okadama connects to city subway by 9-min. bus ride
Shizuoka City based Fuji Dream Airlines (FDA)announced two daily round trip flights from Nagoya’s original airport, Komaki Airport, to Sapporo’s original airport, Okadama will begin on Mar. 26. The proximity of Okadama Airport to downtown Sapporo will reduce the train travel time by about one hour compared to a trip from New Chitose Airport to downtown Sapporo.
FDA said its campaign to introduce the new route reduces the lowest available fare from 8,000 yen to 4,500 yen. According to FDA the campaign fares will only be available from Mar. 26 to Apr. 28.
The new route will save time for travelers from the Nagoya area as both airports are close to city centers. However, low cost carriers are only based at Chubu Central Airport.
